IMSS Welcome PG Youth Celebrate the first YXS Airport Days Event

Prince George, BC – The Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society of Prince George’s Welcome PG initiative in collaboration with the Prince George Airport Authority are beginning a new welcoming initiative under the name of YXS Airport Days.

The first event will be held on January 31st, 2014 at the Prince George Airport!

In preparation for the Canada Winter Games in 2015, the IMSS Welcome PG Youth Advisory Board, in collaboration with the PG Airport Authority, has developed an Airport Ambassador initiative. IMSS Welcome PG youth will be volunteering on a monthly basis as Airport Ambassadors; they will welcome first time visitors and returning Prince George residents and provide information about our city, points of interest, as well as events and celebrations taking place in our community.

The first YXS Airport Days celebration will be on January 31st which coincides with the first day of the Chinese New Year. IMSS Welcome PG Youth will be welcoming passengers with fortune cookies, lucky red envelopes, and a Chinese Lion dance performance.

January 31st:

·    Welcoming Air Canada , West Jet and CMA passengers arriving and departing between 9:00 and 10:15am

February 10th:

·    Welcoming Air Canada, West Jet, and CMA passengers arriving and departing between 4:30 and 5:30pm

March 28th:

Welcoming Air Canada, West Jet and CMA passengers arriving and departing between 9:00 and 10:15am
