Prince George Airport (YXS) on Track to See Hotel Development

Prince George, BC – The Prince George Airport Authority is thrilled to announce the development of a new hotel at the Prince George Airport (YXS). The upcoming Prestige YXS hotel will feature 120 guest rooms and a range of amenities including a spa, gym, meeting spaces, and a guest lounge. In addition, the main floor will offer over 12,000 square feet of potential lease space for additional amenities and services catering to both hotel guests and airport travelers.

The Prestige YXS project is spearheaded by Growth Hospitality Group, a leader in the Prince George hospitality sector for over 20 years. Growth Hospitality has successfully developed and operated several notable properties, including the Prestige Treasure Cove Resort, Prestige Prince George Lodge, and Prestige Riverside Lodge in Quesnel.

This project is a partnership between Growth Hospitality Group, Prestige Hotels and Resorts, and the Lake Babine First Nation. Prestige Hotels and Resorts, a family-owned company, will add this as their 20th hotel in their collection of 18 Prestige-branded properties and one Best Western, spanning 14 communities across B.C.

Construction is set to begin in April 2025, with the grand opening anticipated in Winter 2027.
