STATEMENT FROM PGAA REGARDING DE-ICING EQUIPMENT FAILURE

Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) today confirmed that the de-icing equipment failure on December 17th, 2021, has resulted in the grounding of any flights requiring de-icing at YXS until the equipment is replaced or repaired. Some flight activity may commence prior to repair if the weather improves.


PGAA is unable comment further on the status of repairs as the equipment is not owned or operated by the airport. We are working closely with our airline partners to support them in resolving the situation.
