TAKE A HIKE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS

PRINCE GEORGE AIRPORT AUTHORITY’S (“PRINCE GEORGE AIRPORT”) TAKE A HIKE CONTEST SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY INTO THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (HEREIN THE “CONTEST RULES”).

  1. CONTEST PERIOD:
    The “Take a Hike” contest (the “Contest”) begins on March 19, 2025, and ends on April 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received during the Contest Period.
  2. PRIZE SPONSORS
    The Prince George Airport (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor”).
  3. ELIGIBILITY:
    This Contest is open to legal residents of Prince George, British Columbia who have reached the age of majority in the province at the time of entry (19 years or older), and are legally permitted to travel within Canada and to the chosen destination, with the exception of employees of the Prince George Airport, their parents, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, contest administrators, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of Contest materials, and those living in the same household.

    By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Rules. Entrants who do not comply with any of the Contest Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  4. HOW TO ENTER:
    No purchase required. To enter, complete the online entry form. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period. Entries will be void if they are incomplete, fraudulent, or in violation of the contest rules.
  5. PRIZES:
    One (1) prize package will be awarded, consisting of:

    a) Round trip airfare for two (2) on Pacific Coastal Airlines from the Prince George Airport (YXS) to the Kelowna International Airport (YLW). Winner will receive a Community Support Program (CSP) Travel Voucher that includes a promo code. The winner must call 1-800-663-2872 and provide promo code found on voucher to the booking agent. Voucher must be booked and travel completed by March 31, 2027. Cannot be exchanged for cash or other services. All CSP vouchers are issued as return travel for two (2) passengers. Cannot be used twice for the same person and a round-trip may not be split into two one-ways. Seats are subject to promotional space availability (not all flights have promotional space). Same day connecting flights only.

    c) An E-bike Gold Panning Adventure from Eco-Sports available from June 1 to October 31 annually. Includes 4-hour e-bike rental, helmet, lock, panniers, phone mount, on-call support and GPS tracking, 1.5 hours of guided gold panning. Snacks and beverages not included.

    d) A guided tasting experience for two (2) celebrating Canada’s first 100-point red wine, the 2020 Oculus at Mission Hill Family Estate. Guests must be 19+ to join. Reservations must be requested 48 hours+ in advance. Non-refundable and has no cash value. Not redeemable for cash. Offer must be used within its validity period, after which it is null in void. Expires March 31, 2026. Subject to availability, some blackout periods may apply.

    e) One (1) three (3) day vehicle rental up to and including a full size car from Enterprise Mobility located at YLW. Non-transferable and does not include any one-way drop fees, fuel, or damage waiver charges. Renter must meet Enterprise Rent-a-Car’s normal rental qualifications. Offer expires March 31, 2026.

    f) Trail maps from Tourism Kelowna.

    Approximate value of $3,300.00 CAD. Travel dates are subject to hotel and flight availability and blackout periods. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
  6. WINNER SELECTION:
    One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2025. The selected winners will be contacted by email or phone within five (5) business days following the draw. If a selected winner cannot be reached within five (5) business days of the first attempt of contact, or if a selected winner does not comply with these Official Rules, they may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.
  7. WINNER NOTIFICATION:
    The Prize winner will be notified by e-mail no later than 04:00 p.m. (PDT) on April 10, 2025. Upon notification, the selected potential winner must respond by e-mail or telephone to the e-mail or contact number provided in the notification within two (2) business days of such notification. If the selected potential winner does not respond in accordance with these Contest Rules, they will be disqualified and will not receive the Prize, and another potential winner may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected potential prize winner to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive a selected potential winner’s response.
  8. PRIZE CONDITIONS:
    Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No substitution of prizes is permitted except at the sole discretion of the Contest organizer.
    All travel arrangements, including flights and hotel accommodation are the responsibility of the winners.
    Winners are responsible for any costs not specifically mentioned, including but not limited to taxes, travel insurance, personal expenses, and any other costs incurred.
    Contest winner must be able to pick up their prize in person at the Prince George Airport.
  9. ODDS OF WINNING:
    The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
  10. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
    The Prince George Airport Authority reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest in whole or in part if the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason. By entering, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Prince George Airport Authority, which are final.
  11. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANTS
    By entering the Contest, each entrant releases and holds the Releasees harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant, Releasees, or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
  12. PRIVACY:
    By participating in the Contest, each entrant: (a) grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name, telephone number and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winner; (b) if selected as a Prize winner, grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name and likeness for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (c) acknowledges that the Sponsor may disclose their Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of the Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (a) above. The Sponsor will use entrants’ Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect entrants’ Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with Prince George Airports’ Privacy Statement located at https://www.pgairport.ca/privacy-policy/.
  13. GOVERNING LAW:
    The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these rules or the rights and obligations of participants or the Prince George Airport Authority in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
  14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release that may occur. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Each entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive the Prize. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest.
