Upcoming Live Fire Training at YXS

Prince George, BC – Live Fire Training will be taking place at the Prince George Airport (YXS) several times this month with the first session taking place Thursday, October 5, 2023. Emergency Response Assistance Canada (ERAC) will be onsite tomorrow training their responders at the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) Fire Training Facility from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

As part of ongoing training and certification, the PGAA will be conducting fire training October 12, 13, 16 and 17 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas. These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances. These fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.
