WestJet Launches Same Day Service between Prince George and Calgary

Prince George, BC— Starting Sunday, April 27th, northern BC residents will have access to another non- stop flight out of the Prince George Airport (YXS). WestJet announced today they will operate a daily flight to Calgary, Alberta on a 119 seat Boeing 737-600 jet.

President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority, John Gibson says “business travellers can now fly to Calgary and return home the same day as this flight leaves YXS at 06:00 and returns at 22:27, so it is geared toward the Prince George market. Business and leisure passengers now have more connection options for eastern Canada, the prairies, the USA and sunspot destinations.”

“We’re pleased to be announcing the only daily non-stop jet service between Prince George and Calgary” said John Weatherill, Director, Network and Schedule Planning.”The schedule will allow Prince George residents to arrive into Calgary at 8:27am and conduct a full day of business before returning in the evening. The flights are also timed to provide convenient connections to and from destinations throughout WestJet’s large network. We’re confident the service will be well received!”

This 1.5 hour flight offers a variety of connection options out of the Calgary International Airport including places such as Toronto, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Palm Springs, New York, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
